The Haven Gateway has over 10,000 Marine Leisure berths and is considered as the second largest boating area within the UK. These Leisure berths are understood to provide a substantial contribution to the local economy.

The Marine Lesiure Industry is considered as vitally important to the sub-region and as such the Haven Gateway has commissioned two studies, firstly one on the Economic Impact of the industry on the sub-region and secondly a study running in parallel to this as to the skills gaps and needs of the sector.

These studies will be availabel on this website by the end of November 2006 and will include recommendations for further activites for the Haven Gateway Partnership to undertake.
