In collaboration with Jobcentre Plus, the HGP has formed a recruitment forum of recruitment agencies which meets every 4-6 months to discuss current issues facing recruitment agencies and also aimed at educating them to provide better briefings for candidates and employers to ensure that the right candidate is sent to the right job. CAREERS IN HAVEN GATEWAY
We have created a printed brochure which provides a starting point by illustrating the vast range of jobs that are available in the Haven Gateway area. Good careers with exciting prospects exist for school leavers at GCSE/’O’ Level, ‘A’ Level and those with University degrees. If you are interested in a career in this exciting arena do contact your Careers Officer, look through the local paper for job opportunities, make enquiries at employment agencies.

SALARY, PAY AND CONDITIONS
Interested in salaries, pay and conditions? Salaries vary widely with different employers. Starting salaries for sixteen year olds are in the region of £7,000 - £8,000 with basic qualifications. For ‘A’ Level entrants it would be in the region of £9,500 - £10,500 and graduates on specific training programmes range from £15,000 - £17,500. We are building up information in the area and have created a printed leaflet which details the salary ranges for 5 steps of the career ladder.
