Tourism & Culture

Tourism and Culture is a major contributor to the Haven Gateway Sub-region creating a diverse and healthy economy which in turn impacts on the diversity of attractions and activities available for visitors and residents to experience and consequently the quality of life in the area.

The Haven Gateway Partnership offers an opportunity to seek new solutions to sustaining the visitor experience and develop the quality of activity on offer.  A Strategy has been produced.

The Partnership recognises the importance of the arts in regeneration and economic prosperity and wishes to enhance its Cultural Tourism offer by building on the capacity of cultural organisations to increase participation and to engage new audiences.

The Haven Gateway region boasts historic and bustling towns and peaceful countryside. Popular seaside resorts and quiet coasts are also a draw, with attractions of national and international importance. It is also one of the UK's most popular sailing areas.
