In the Haven Gateway sub-region, over three billion pounds worth of investment in construction will be taking place over the next ten years, focussing on Colchester, Ipswich and the ports of Harwich and Felixstowe.

The Haven Gateway Partnership’s construction initiatives project aims to identify needs, formulate plans, forge partnerships, secure funding and co-ordinate the delivery of targeted employment, employability and business development initiatives’ for the construction sector in the Haven Gateway.

• Develop an understanding of local skills and training needs
• Drive up the number of quality local applicants
• Encourage on-the-job training
• Increase the number of regional organisations that employ and use local businesses
