Harwich has some of the finest and most effective infrastructure of any port on the Southern North Sea.

Quays - 2 km of sheltered deep water quays for Jack-up, Workboat, Ro-Ro, Bulk, Passenger and Tanker berths, Quay cranes with direct access to laydown space and comprehensive shoreside facilities.

Ferry - Harwich has regular direct ferry services to mainland Europe.

Road - The A120 trunk road connects Harwich with the key routes of the A12 and A14 and the UK motorway network. 

Rail - Harwich is served by three rail stations.  The International stationLondon Stansted Airport at the port has an intermodal rail head with capability for containers and unitised freight.  All stations in Harwich have direct train services to London.

Air - Air services are close by; London Stansted Airport less than an hour away via the A120 with London’s City, Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick airports within two hours by road.  Harwich is served by a helicopter pad six miles away.

Harwich has an Oil Terminal with a tanker quay and is also home to the Harwich Haven Pilot services.
