The major economic impact of the Haven Gateway’s ports, shipping and logistics sector has been demonstrated in a new study which shows that the sector has an annual turnover of about £3 billion and directly employs 32,200 people in the subregion.

Today saw the publication of a major study into the future land and property needs of the Suffolk Haven Gateway for employment purposes.

Following a short period of consultation, John Healey, Minister for Housing and Planning, has confirmed that the Haven Gateway will receive £3,464,424 for capital Growth Funding for 2010/11.
