Following on from the publication of the IDP on the 2nd December 2008, the full version of the IDP, as promised, is now available for download (only).  The development of the IDP is still very much work in progress and is being used to inform future funding decisions, eg Growth Funding. 

A Gold Award was made to Stratton PR and Catapult Design under the category 'Best Use of Photography or Design' at an awards evening which was attended by over 150 PR professionals in the region. The brochure was also short listed as a finalist for the 'Best Publication' category.

The Haven Gateway Partnership is leading the way nationally by launching an investment plan for the sub-region that sets out where funding should be directed to meet the challenges and opportunities for long-term sustainable economic and housing growth.

Today, 10 December  2008, Margaret Beckett MP confirmed further Haven Gateway growth point funding for the sub-region.   The Partnership will receive just over £12 million for the period 2009/10 and 2010/11 and will be allocating this funding in accordance with priorities identified within the Integrated Development Programme.

More than 700 new affordable homes have been negotiated for the Babergh district within the last four years – smashing Babergh’s original target by seven per cent.

id Suffolk District Council, in partnership with other councils in Suffolk, has successfully got through the first stage in a bid for more money, to help deal with long-term empty homes.

Ipswich Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is celebrating today after winning the award for Suffolk's 'Best Tourist Information Service' last night at the Tourism in Suffolk Awards 2008.
