Accounting for Business Resilience: Surviving Climate Change
An innovative series of workshops for accountants and financial advisors is being run from late February 2012 across the East of England. Drawing on research undertaken by the UK Climate Impacts Programme that identified accountants as ‘trusted advisors’, the workshops are designed to give financial advisors tools and training to enable them to work with their small business clients. Delegates will understand market opportunities presented by climate change and the actions needed to ensure that businesses are resilience to extreme weather events.
The Environment Agency, CIMA, the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership and Groundwork East of England are partners and supporters to the project.
