The Haven Gateway brochure: Careers in Construction - Get the Bigger Picture has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations at its East Anglia Pride Awards 2008.

A Gold Award was made to Stratton PR and Catapult Design under the category 'Best Use of Photography or Design' at an awards evening which was attended by over 150 PR professionals in the region. The brochure was also short listed as a finalist for the 'Best Publication' category.

The judging process was rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners. The 16-page brochure was commended by the judges, who felt that the brief given by Haven Gateway; to demonstrate to young people the range of opportunities available in construction, and that the industry is not all about blokes, bums and bricks was refreshingly clear. They also felt that the resulting portfolio of photography for use in the lifestyle imagery brochure was very different from the standard images of the construction industry. They were particularly impressed that the photographs and the brochure were so good that Suffolk New College paid the print costs and Suffolk Connexions sent it out to the homes of every year 10 student in Suffolk.

The CIPR PRide Awards is the only awards scheme which showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations and sets industry standards.
