Integrated Development Plan
The Integrated Development Plan (IDP) is the Partnership's investment plan for sub-regional infrastructure. It is primarily a bidding tool to Government and its agencies including (East of England Development Agency (EEDA )for funding but also sets out the key priorities for the key sub-regional investment packages.
The plan is primarily place based - identifying key spatial packages and how investment will be targeted over the coming years. It is backed up by a strong sub-regional evidence base which establishes the key constraints to growth; the key housing and economic indicators and rates of change and future targets.
The IDP also identifies the other key infrastructure needs such as power supply, flood risk, provision of green infrastructure and water cycle and how these issues might be addressed sub-regionally.
Status of the IDP
The IDP is management tool for the Haven Gateway Partnership and has no direct bearing on the Local Development Frameworks of individual planning authorities. However, it clearly provides greater evidence of a rational sub-regional framework to secure challenging economic and housing growth targets for the sub-region.
Launch of IDP
Haven Gateway Partnership launched its Integrated Development Plan (IDP) on 2 December 2008 at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
