The Haven Gateway 'sub-region' is one of the fastest growing areas of the UK. Its success is not limited to the maritime world, but extends to a wide number of industries including Information Technology, Tourism, Marine Leisure and Construction.
High educational standards, technical innovation, quality of life, an entrepreneurial spirit and proximity to London and Cambridge all lie behind the area's success.
In order to avoid duplication and respond directly to the key growth sectors, the Partnership has identified five key sectors on which it will focus:

- Innovation and ICT
- Construction
- Tourism and Culture
- Marine Leisure

Engagement
Haven Gateway Partnership has been funded by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) to undertake Business Engagement, Economic Intelligence and Advocacy within the Haven Gateway.
Beyond 2010
Beyond 2010 is funding for businesses across the East of England from EEDA and ESF for training staff.
Inward Investment
The Haven Gateway Partnership works closely with its partners in Suffolk and Essex to ensure that potential new investors have access to the right information in order to make the right decisions on where to locate.
