Dooley Rumble Case Study

Dooley Rumble lorries

Dooley Rumble Ltd is a transport and logistics company based in Claydon, Suffolk, who with help from the Haven Gateway have received funding from the ESF and EEDA funded Beyond 2010 programme. Helen Duggan of Dooley Rumble says; "The transport sector rarely receives funding support and this is a good opportunity to show how EU funding is helping businesses not previously targeted."

In the current climate, logistics companies in particular have been hard hit and Dooley Rumble have used this fantastic opportunity to not only develop their staff in areas otherwise not trained in but to also aid their new diversification plan. A key member of staff attended a 3 day CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) sales and marketing course allowing him to develop the company image in launching their new brochure and working at rebranding the company's image.

Dooley Rumble's Distribution Manager was also sent on a "Train the Trainer" week long course to assist in the company's diversification strategy of planning to offer Driver CPC Training from September 2010 following the new government legislation about to come into force in September 2009. The funding has also been used for Excel training across a wide range of staff and has enabled the organisation to invest in all aspects of their business including their plans for the future.
