In the Haven Gateway's corporate statement, Smarter Solutions for Sustainable Growth 2008 - 2001, the following goals were identified for culture and tourism:
Our goals:
- To adopt and implement a sub-regional Tourism and Culture Strategy - currently in draft
- To exploit the creative industries within the Haven Gateway
- To attract investment associated with the London 2012 Olympics
- To support the cruise sector through proactive marketing and attending national and international exhibitions
