A new style Green Infrastructure Group partnership meeting was held on the 11th October at the University College Suffolk. Local Authority officers and representatives from other organisations were able to hear three excellent presentations.

The Haven Gateway Partnership has announced that the winner of its ‘I Love Landscapes’ competition is the Shotley Stour Footpath Renovation Group. 

3 projects have been announced and now face a public vote to win £18k

The Haven Gateway Partnership (HGP) is offering up to £18,000 to support the most innovative green space idea in South Suffolk or North Essex.

The Haven Gateway Partnership (HGP) has launched its ‘I love landscapes’ campaign, asking local residents to come forward and suggest how the Partnership should spend its remaining green infrastructure fund.

A new walk and viewing platform is to be the saviour of Walton on the Naze's famous tower and its dramatic cliff top setting. Work on Crag Walk starts on 22nd November 2010 and allows visitors to admire the view and learn about the area's other claim to fame, its wildlife and fossils.

How will we cope and what will be the impact as some familiar organisations face restructuring or abolition?

Work to restore a well-used section of coastal footpath and protect houses and woodland has begun thanks to the concerted effort of the local community,  Suffolk County Council and the Haven Gateway Partnership.

Campaigners for a project to create a linked network of green spaces for wildlife and people near Harwich will continue with their search for funding despite a recent bid to Natural England being unsuccessful. 

A new set of Green infrastructure web pages are beeing added to the Haven Gateway Partnership website thanks to funding from Natural England.
