What is the Haven Gateway Partnership doing?

The development of Green infrastructure (GI) in the Haven Gateway is a high priority and is being driven and guided by a steering group with members from a diverse range of regional and national organisations. As part of the delivery, priority is being given to GI that is natural and publicly accessible. The partners are coordinating resources, including public funding, on a range of GI projects that respond to the economic and housing growth in the sub region. The projects will help fill predicted 'gaps' where GI is lacking and enhance existing green spaces where needed.

Guiding the work

The Haven Gateway Green Infrastructure Strategy is supported by a Steering Group of partners comprising local authorities, government agencies, the local wildlife trusts, and Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Unit. Suffolk County Council has acted as the lead authority and environmental charity Groundwork is providing support. The Steering Group is accountable to the Planning Officers Group of the Haven Gateway Partnership.
