Felixstowe Infrastructure Delivery Plan

The creation of an infrastructure delivery plan for Felixstowe and the Trimleys to assess existing infrastructure, its capacity, where improvements will be needed to absorb future proposed development and the practical costs of providing it.  Prior to this, an assessment of potential locations for new housing will be undertaken.

Scope of the Project

The identification and examination of alternative development scenarios that achieve a total of 1660 new homes and satisfy defined principles relating to the environment and sustainability.  It includes consultation with local communities and an assessment of infrastructure required to support the scale of improvement.

Aim of the Project

  • A scenario for the potential distrubtion of 1660 new dwellings in the area.
  • A delivery plan for the necessry infrastructure to enable the preferred scenario to take place.

Outcomes of the Project

  • This funding enables other public sector investment.
  • New homes and affordable new homes built.
  • Provides clear evidence of long term sustainability.
  • Clear plans for promotion, evaluation/dissemination of results.
