The Board of the Haven Gateway Partnership has appointed Anita Thornberry to the post of Executive Director in succession to Steve Clarke who left the organisation at the end of March 2016.

Anita took up her new position on 4th April.

George Kieffer, Chairman, commented:

“We are delighted that Anita has accepted the position of Executive Director and we look forward to her maintaining the partnership’s momentum, particularly on our campaign to improve the A120. Anita has an excellent grasp of economic development and of the priorities for the Haven Gateway Partnership and I look forward to her deploying her considerable skills and talents for all our partners.”

“Steve Clarke indicated some time ago his intention of stepping down to pursue a new challenge. He has made an enormous contribution to the Haven Gateway and the Board paid tribute to him at its meeting on 17th March. We wish him well for the future.”

Anita Thornberry said:

“I am tremendously excited to be working for the Haven Gateway Partnership, a successful and genuine public/private sector collaboration. I am greatly looking forward to working with the team and the Board in taking the partnership forward at such an interesting time for economic regeneration."
